Wow. This gem of a story from the BBC is one that I hope gets updated with sales figures down the road. A London restaurant is serving a new dessert called Baby Gaga: ice cream made with breast milk. The founder of this treat is quoted saying, "If it's good enough for our children, it's good enough for the rest of us." Now I’m a huge supporter of breast feeding. My daughter was breast fed until we switched to cow’s milk at 11 months. But I must say, this is one bowl of ice cream I’m not touching! And I don’t say that about many bowls of ice cream.Maybe it’s ridiculous to be turned off by the idea of consuming breast milk as an adult, but it’s just not something I’m able to wrap my stomach around. Antibodies and all. I’m hugely supportive of anyone who is able to donate their extra breast milk to help other babies who need it, but to the ice cream shop down the street? I’m not so sure. When it comes to ice cream I think I’ll be sticking with the not-so-organic variety. How about you?
