Picture This Family Funday: Discover some of America’s greatest artist-photographers, pose for pictures in a photo booth, and decorate a scrapbook to commemorate your day at the museum.
Good to know: Each family will receive a free, disposable camera to use at activity stations.

Fort Worth Greek Festival: It’s time to get your spanakopita on! The annual Fort Worth Greek Festival returns with folk dancing, church tours, arts and crafts, a children's area, and, of course, food.
Good to know: Food service begins after 11 a.m. each day; Overflow parking with a shuttle is available at North Side High School, 2211 McKinley Ave., Fort Worth

When: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, November 12; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, November 13; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, November 14

Go support the troops
Salute to the Troops Community Parade: Five World War II veterans will be honored as Grand Marshals at this year's parade. Come early, bring your chairs and stake your claim to sidewalk space.
Good to know: Before the parade, there will be a pancake breakfast at the Senior Center in Frisco Square, 6670 Moore St. (south of Babe’s). For $5 you will be served a country-style breakfast including pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, orange juice, coffee and tea. There is also a child’s breakfast for $3. Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 10:30 a.m. Breakfast proceeds go to the Senior Center Advisory Council.

Where: Parade starts at the southeast corner of Pizza Hut Park and goes eastbound down Main Street to downtown Frisco

Chile Pepperama: Some like it hot, and others like it really hot. Sample spicy food, browse arts and crafts booths and listen to music.
Good to know: Food samples will cost $3 for 3-ounce serving.

Santa at Parks Mall in Arlington: Get your holiday card portrait or your child's holiday wish list done early. Children visiting Santa will receive a free coloring book, It Takes Just One, while supplies last.
Good to know: Santa visits are free. Photo packages are available to purchase (hint: Click here for a coupon).  Santa will be taking breaks throughout the day to feed the reindeer and check on toy production at the North Pole.

Santa's Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops: Explore the Winter Wonderland and get treated to free games, activities and crafts. You can even get a free 4x6 photo of Santa (packages available for purchase).
Good to know: Free Santa Bandz to the first 150 kids to visit every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Thanksgiving Day from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
