What's closed in Fort Worth on Labor Day weekend
Most Fort Worth city offices will close Friday for the eighth unpaid day of the year.
Police, fire and trash service will continue as normal, and the customer service phone lines will be staffed. Municipal golf courses, the Botanic Garden, the Japanese Garden and the Fort Worth Zoo will be open Friday and Monday (Labor Day).
The closures Friday will affect:
■ All libraries, including the Central Library. All will be open Saturday but closed Sunday and Monday. Normal hours resume Tuesday.
■ Municipal courts, including the truancy court. Normal hours will resume Tuesday.
■ The Fort Worth Convention Center
■ Parks facilities, including the Water Gardens, Log Cabin Village, Fort Worth Nature Center, community centers and late-night sports programs. The Water Gardens and Log Cabin Village will reopen Monday, and the other facilities will be closed until Tuesday.
