Partial lunar eclipse is Saturday
Look for drama in the western sky before daybreak Saturday, as a partial lunar eclipse overtakes the setting moon.
The eclipse will begin at 5:17 a.m. here, when the moon first touches Earth's shadow. The greatest part of the moon will be in shadow by 6:38 a.m. The moon will sink below the horizon before the eclipse ends at 8 a.m.
If the weather is clear, Texans will get to see most of the action, according to StarDate magazine, published by the University of Texas' McDonald Observatory.
