TXU will host it's 7th annual City Arts Festival this weekend at Fair Park in Dallas. The event will be hosted for 3 days, May 7-9. Free and open to the public the festival will feature nearly 300 renowned artists, entertainment, free admission to fair park museums, a Crafters Village, and a large culinary and children's area.
The event times are Friday 6pm-10pm, Saturday-11am-10pm and Sunday 12 noon-6pm. There will be a host of indoor and outdoor activities to include musical performances by some our local artists to include the Dallas Black Dance Theater and the Dallas Wind Symphony Quartet.
Kid-friendly activities include bounce houses, rock climbing, arts and crafts, storytelling and a pottery wheel!
All in all this sounds like a great event to attend this Mother's Day weekend, what better way to spend your time than to hangout with your kids for FREE and hey if you want to hang out at home, or the spa while dad takes the kids out for a good time this should be right up there on the suggested list of things to do!
