Main St. fest has an eye on iPhone, social media
IPhone owners attending next month's Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival can download an app to navigate the mile-long festival site.
The app is free at the iTunes Store. In addition, the festival's Web site, www.mainstreetartsfest.org, has been retooled to keep pace with the latest social media technologies.

"Technology now exists to allow guests to share an experience like Main St.," said Ken Lentz, partner in the Enilon Group, which developed the iPhone app. "It's like having a guided tour of the festival."
Main St., produced by Downtown Fort Worth Inc., is in its 25th year. The juried art show and entertainment celebration runs April 8-11 from the Tarrant County Courthouse to the Fort Worth Convention Center.
Yogi Bear in Burleson
Rustic Creek Ranch in Burleson said it has become the third Texas park to join the Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp Resorts chain.
The 75-unit franchise network is the second-largest campground chain in the country and is known for having quality parks and staff, said Steve Stafford, Rustic Creek Ranch park manager.
"Joining Jellystone will help put us on the map," he said in a statement. "We'll also be able to tap into their 41 years of experience serving families across the country. The franchisor, Leisure Systems, has already sent staff to our park for on-site training and guidance."
Yogi Bear will also be on-site daily to greet campers, pose for photos and take part in events.
The Burleson park will be marketed as the North Texas Jellystone Park, he said. The other Texas Jellystone Park locations are in Waller and Canyon Lake.
In the past decade, Rustic Creek Ranch has grown into a landscaped RV resort, with 248 sites, 37 furnished cabins, two swimming pools, recreation buildings, and a steady roster of weekend activities and special events.
The park said in the next year, it will add amenities such as a pedal cart track, an arcade and laser tag, a water park and spray ground, as well as daily craft classes, family games and hayrides.
Jellystone has locations in 28 states and Canada, franchised through Leisure Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Park River Corp. in Cincinnati.
Sweet recognition
Bobbie Stokes, founder and president of Angelica's Bakery in Chicago, will be honored with the 2010 Circle of Excellence Award presented by the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber's Women's Business Issues will present the award at a dinner March 26 at the Colonial Country Club. The award is in its 16th year and is held as part of National Women's History Month.
Angelica's Bakery is a Christian-based, family owned and operated bakery. It has been in business since 1990 and has two Chicago-area stores. It is best known for its caramel cakes, but it has other desserts, all made from original family recipes.
Her son, Gregory Stokes, a managing principal, said the company has been working with the chamber to expand into Fort Worth, possibly within the next year. It would be the company's first location outside Chicago.
"Setting up in Texas, that's our goal," he said. "We're in the early stages."
