Southlake police have determined that mechanical problems did not cause a wreck last month that killed a 77-year-old woman driving a 2004 Toyota Corolla.
Investigators completed an investigation on the Feb. 28 crash and noted that there were “no obvious signs of mechanical problems” with the car.The Corolla was not on the list of vehicle recalls announced by Toyota a few weeks ago related to problems with accelerator pedals. The recall included 2009-10 Corollas. The crash on Feb. 28 in Southlake killed Waynoka Ricord.“What happened, we don’t know,” said Southlake police Sgt.
