8-year-old Frisco boy hit by vehicle on way to school
An 8-year-old boy who accidentally stepped into traffic was hit by a vehicle as he walked to school in Frisco, police said Monday.
The boy, who was not identified, was taken by helicopter ambulance to Children's Medical Center Dallas. His condition was unavailable, but Frisco police say they believe he did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
The accident happened shortly before 8 a.m. Monday at Twin Falls Drive and Pleasant Valley Lane near Izetta Sparks Elementary.
Investigators have determined that the boy stepped out and was hit by a vehicle that was southbound on Twin Falls Drive. The speed limit at that location is 30 miles per hour.
The motorist stopped after hitting the child, police said.
Investigators say no charges are expected to be filed.
