The Nutcracker Performed by Texas Ballet Theatre Review

By tiffany2you on 12/13/09 17:49

Texas Ballet Theatre has done it again, their performance of the Nutcracker Ballet at Bass Performance Hall is an absolute must see.
The Nutcracker has always when one of my personal favorites when it comes to the ballet.  I was very excited to see it again and to afford my own children the opportunity to see the story also.
Well, let's just say Texas Ballet Theatre did not disappoint in the least.  The production was absolutely breathtaking from beginning to end.  The story unfolded in such a way that each person from the youngest to the oldest was able to understand it in it's entirety.
Not only was the production performed well but the ballet shortened the original version of the nutcracker to that of just one hour at most.  This was perfect timing for my children ages 6 and 2 who were mesmerized my the sights, sounds, and dance performed by the characters.
All in all this performance was nothing short of perfection from beginning to end.  I will make this performance a new holiday tradition as it truly embraces the sights and sounds of the holiday season!
