What: Radio City Christmas Spectacular Starring the Rockettes
When: Daily performances through December 30 (except for Christmas Day)
Where: Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie
Cost: Adult tickets range from $29.75 - $95.75. Tickets for kids under 12 start at $14.75.
What I liked: The legendary Rockettes wowed with their dazzling costumes and awe-inspiring leg kicks. The show was nicely paced with 12 scenes separated by a short intermission in the middle. Although parking was $15, we were able to make a fast getaway, which really is a Christmas miracle. This is definitely a family-friendly show. The kids were so entranced by the magical production that they were blissfully well-behaved, much to my delight.
What the kids liked: Santa made appearances throughout the show. The Living Nativity (which has been part of the show since 1933) was also a big hit, largely due to the live animals on stage.
If you go: Bring cash for parking. And pick up a bag of the festive red and green kettle corn to munch on.
