FC Dallas tapped its South American pipeline Tuesday by adding attacking midfielder David Ferreira in a loan deal from Brazilian partner Club Atletico Paranaense (CAP).
Ferreira, 29, will join FC Dallas for preseason training at CAP’s facility in Curitiba, Brazil, from Thursday through March 6. He’s expected to fill the No. 10 role, or attacking/creative midfield position. "His style is a two-way player," FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman said. "David is a player who will play the ball to players and run off the players, so he’s an active player."FC Dallas traded Canadian defender Adrian Serioux to Toronto FC for its first-round pick in 2010 and allocation money. — Tobias Xavier LopezHave more to add?
