DALLAS — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a bank robber who is considered armed and dangerous.

About 9:20 a.m. Oct. 25, a woman walked into the Wachovia Bank in the 39700 block of I-635 in Dallas, pointed a gun at a teller and demanded cash. The teller complied and gave the woman an undetermined amount of money. The woman then fled in an unknown direction.

She is described as about 35 years old, 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 150 pounds. She has shoulder-length black hair and a piercing above her right lip. She was wearing glasses, a long-sleeve gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. She was carrying a chrome- or nickel-plated semi-automatic handgun, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Dallas field office of the FBI at 972-559-5000 or the Dallas Police Department's robbery unit at 214-671-3584.
