A man was killed and a girl was hurt Monday when the motorcycle they were riding wrecked in southern Parker County, according to a report.

A man identified as Blain Alfred Bunce III, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck in the 4400 block of Cimmarron Trail, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The report said Bunce was an oilfield worker from Weatherford, although it also listed his home address on Cimmarron Trail, near the accident scene.

The accident was reported at about 5:45 p.m. Monday as Bunce and Shyanne Seaman, 9, were riding a 1985 Honda motorcycle south on Cimmarron Trail, the DPS reported.

The area is north of the intersections of Farm Roads 1884 and 2580, near the community of Tin Top, in southern Parker County.

A DPS highway patrol trooper reported that Bunce lost control of motorcycle, which went into a ditch and hit a culvert and rocks.

Bunce was thrown from the motorcycle, the trooper reported. Neither the man nor the child wore a helmet, the trooper said.

The girl was taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth to be treated for a broken arm and lacerations, the DPS reported. She was in in good condition Tuesday morning, a hospital spokeswoman said.
