Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain met again Tuesday night in the second of three presidential debates of the 2008 campaign. Analysts had said the town-hall approach would favor McCain, but any advantage might have been negated by Obama's recent surge in national polls and battleground-state surveys.
