It was a rough commute early Wednesday for scores of commuters on Interstate 35W in Fort Worth, which became clogged with numerous traffic accidents.
The wrecks were cleared by mid-morning, but not soon enough to make a lot of people late for work.
Here's what happened, according to police reports and Traffic.com:
First wreck was reported 6:22 a.m. approaching the Spur 280 overpass east of the downtown area where a black pickup and a blue car got tangled. Second wreck was reported 7:02 a.m. at Morningside Drive. There were no details, although the accident was classified as minor and blocking a right lane. Third wreck, reported at 7:42 a.m., just past Interstate 20, blocked a right center lane. But the trouble didn't stop there.Other accidents on I-35W included 7:04 a.m. at Seminary Drive; 7:14 at Allen Avenue; and 7:49 a.m. at Ripy Street.
