Pedestrian killed on Arlington highway off-ramp

ARLINGTON -- An unidentified pedestrian died Thursday just a few hours after being struck by a pickup truck at Texas 360 and Abram Street.

Police said the pickup, driven by Jesse Pierre Mendez, 24, of Arlington, was southbound on 360 about 7:45 p.m. The truck took the Abram Street off-ramp where it struck the man who was walking east across the ramp.

According to a police report, the off-ramp is the 100 block of south Texas 360.

Police said the dead man was believed to be in his 30s, but had no identification.

He was transported to Harris Methodist Hospital in critical condition. He died at 9:35 p.m., police said.
