Middle Tennessee routs Florida International 48-21

Dwight Dasher ran for three touchdowns and passed for two more as Middle Tennessee beat Florida International 48-21 on Saturday.

Dasher ran for 178 yards and scored on runs of 1, 70 and 68 yards for the Blue Raiders (6-3, 4-1 Sun Belt Conference). He also went 13-for-28 for 178 yards and two touchdowns. He was intercepted three times.

Dasher threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Sancho McDonald and a 9-yarder to Patrick Honeycutt.

The Blue Raiders led 34-0 before the Panthers (2-7, 2-4) scored three straight touchdowns to trim the lead to 34-21. Kendall Berry scored on runs of 2, 5 and 4 yards and ended with 103 yards rushing.

Panthers quarterback Wayne Younger threw for 178 yards and was intercepted three times.

The Blue Raiders are bowl eligible and remain one game behind Troy for first place in the conference.
