DENTON COUNTY -- A Justin teen who authorities say had attended a drinking party last month died from a mixture of hydrocodone and an antidepressant called nortriptyline, according to an autopsy completed Wednesday by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Austin “Austi” Durant’s death was ruled accidental, the autopsy states. Durant was 18.

Durant died on Sept. 21 at Presbyterian Hospital-Denton after he was found unresponsive in a mobile home where the party had been held, authorities said.

The party had been in the mobile home in the 400 block of Cactus Drive, south Argyle.

According to witness statements, there had been a big drinking party at the mobile home during that night and someone tried to wake Durant up the next morning.

When Durant didn’t respond, his friends called 911, authorities said.

During an investigation of the incident, Denton County Sheriff Department deputies arrested James Reynolds, 21, of Argyle on suspicion of purchasing or furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Reynolds was released on Monday from the Denton County Jail after posting $1,000 bail.
