As the current housing market slows down to "real time," buyers are seeking answers to lots of questions about how to find the right home. And while the old real estate saying about the three most important attributes being "location, location and location" still has some truth to it, today’s consumers are savvier and more discerning. Location is only part of the equation: It’s also about conveniences and amenities.
It’s nearly impossible these days to open the newspaper and not see a story about the rapid growth of green building, where new homes are built using materials that conserve energy and environmental resources. In fact, a recent survey of home builders by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and McGraw Hill Construction found that by 2010 one of every 10 homes built will be "green."
