Benefiting the Greater Fort Worth-Arlington Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the 2014 Promise Ball took place March 22 at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. Themed “Field of Dreams,” the evening included cocktails, dinner, live entertainment and auctions. The Scene: The Red Party

The Kimbell Art Museum hosted The Red Party on March 1 at the Renzo Piano Pavilion. Decked out in red attire, guests were given the chance to tour the new pavilion and get an up-close look at the “Samurai: Armor From the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection" exhibition. The Scene: Go Red For Women Luncheon

The 2014 Go Red For Women Luncheon took place at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel on Feb. 28 with guests decked out in their best red attire to take a stand against heart disease, the cause of more deaths among women than all types of cancer, AIDS and accidents combined. The annual event included health screenings, hands-only CPR instruction, cooking demos and a silent auction. Special guest speaker for the luncheon was Granbury native and four-time Olympic gold medalist Dana Vollmer. Read more

The Tarrant County Medical Society Alliance and Foundation threw its annual Medicine Ball, benefiting community health projects, Feb. 1 at the Cendera Center. Mansfield Cares hosted its 15th annual Charity Ball on Feb. 22 at Walnut Creek Country Club. Guests were encouraged to dress in their best disco duds to match the night’s theme of “Peace, Love & Mansfield Cares.” The party, which benefited various charitable causes in the area, featured auctions, games, gourmet dining and music from the disco band Le Freak. The eighth annual Mid-Cities SOS Celebrity Chefs event took place Jan. 19 at the Hurst Conference Center.
